HOW TO CHANGE PROCESSOR NAME IN COMPUTER PROPERTIES
Today i am going to cover another great trick that is how to change the processor name in that is shown in computer properties, you can use this and show your friends that you have latest processor. This only for educational purpose.
FOR WINDOWS XP :- Click on start menu and then on run and then type regedit in the appeared text box.
FOR WINDOWS 7 :- Click on start menu search for regedit.exe result will appear in programs click on it. You will see something like this.
THEN FOLLOW STEP 2
Double click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE from list present in left side the from appeared sub menu Double click on HARDWARE then on DESCRIPTION and after that double click on System and then double click on CentralProcessor.
Your location should be now HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor
Now you will have 4 options namely 0,1,2,3,4
And you will see a list files in right side box, double click on ProcessorNameString and then you a box will appear with your current processor name change it with whatever name you want and click on OK BUTTON now press F5 and check the processor name in my computer properties. It should be changed if not do the same in folder name 1.
